What we do
The classic and enthusiast-car market is full of opinion and short on transparency. Values are often quoted from a handful of headline auction results, hidden behind paywalls, or simply asserted. We take a different approach: we aggregate the cars actually for sale in the UK right now, deduplicate them, and compute honest, up-to-date figures — then explain the reasoning in plain English.
That live data underpins everything on the site: our UK classic car price guide, our monthly price tracker, individual model price guides, head-to-head comparisons, and the live market hubs where you can browse values marque by marque.
How we calculate values
Our headline figures are medians of live UK asking prices in our database on the date shown, with duplicate cross-source listings removed and obvious non-cars excluded. We are always clear that these are asking prices, not sold prices, and that a model-wide median hides a wide spread between the best and worst examples. Where a model has too few live listings to be reliable, we say so plainly and draw on established buying guides instead of quoting a shaky number. The full detail is on our methodology page.
Our editorial standards
Accuracy comes before everything. We verify specifications, dates and known faults against reputable references rather than repeating hearsay, and we distinguish clearly between verified fact, reasonable inference and opinion. When we discuss whether a car might make a good investment, we present the evidence and remind readers that we are not financial advisers and that condition and history matter more than any hoped-for appreciation. Nothing on the site is sponsored placement dressed up as advice.
